On 20th and 21st October 2020, representatives from the UK’s utility companies, regulators, government, industry bodies, investors and the supply chain will virtually descend upon the eagerly awaited Utility Week Build Back Better Forum.

As experts across the sector meet to consider what the UK utilities landscape might look like in a post coronavirus world, our very own Chief Executive, Matt Vickers, is doing his own preparations for the event.

Speaking as part of a panel discussion on day two of the event, Matt will join fellow industry and sector experts as they discuss and debate the most effective ways of supporting customers in vulnerable circumstances. Key topics for consideration by the panel include:

  • Defining vulnerability – eligibility and doing the right thing
  • Collaborating to provide a better customer experience
  • Raising awareness about support that’s available – just how helpful is it?
  • Transient vulnerability – providing the right support at the right time
  • Lessons learned from a global pandemic.

The ‘Supporting Customers in Vulnerable Circumstances’ panel discussion will take place on Wednesday 21st October at 14:15. To find out more about the Build Back Better Forum or to register, please click here.
